Eighty Year 7 and 8 pupils participated in the UKMT Junior Maths Challenge on the 25th June. The Junior Mathematical Challenge is a 60-minute, multiple-choice competition aimed at students across the United Kingdom. It encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency in using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems. They all showed true tenacity by taking part online and organising themselves to fit it into their schedule.
Of those that took part 10 pupils were rewarded a bronze certificate: Dylan P, Reece S, Nathan V-F, Mabel W, Marlow W, Katie D, Joshua J, Tsz Yu L, Amelia L and Shiv P.
Furthermore, we had 2 pupils achieve a silver certificate: Burt B and Lauren J.
We are incredibly proud of all of those who took part and are impressed by years 7 and 8 mirroring the great achievements of years 9 and 10 in the senior maths challenge back in February
