In July 2020 a group of pupils and staff from The George Eliot School will be travelling to Costa Rica with Camps International. During the four weeks they are in Costa Rica they will be completing community projects in Camp Terraba, wildlife protection in Cano Negro and environment conservation in Osa as well a week learning to scuba dive in the Pacific Ocean.
The pupils are fundraising for this expedition with 40% of the money they raise going towards funding the projects they will be working on in Costa Rica.

In July 2020 a group of pupils and staff from The George Eliot School travelled to Ecuador with Camps International. During the four weeks they were in Ecuador they completed community projects in the Amazon at Camps Donbiki and Chili Urku, community projects in Kuri Kucho in the mountains near Mount Cayambe and environment conservation in Maquipacuna (which was declared a UNESCO Biosphere reserve whilst our group were working there). As well as the project work they spent 5 days completing the Ecuador Three Peaks Challenge trekking up the volcanoes Cerro Tolillas, Fuya Fuya and Cerro Negro surrounding Lake Mojanda.
